J12 WELLNESS & SPORTS PERFORMANCE WORKOUT PROGRAM
This program is a comprehensive baseball specific workout for the Blue Chips baseball teams. It consist of two segments. The first will be a hypertrophy/strength phase designed to increase maximal force production through big ranges of motion. The second phase of the program will be designed specifically to increase rate of force development and plane specific power for baseball athletes. The players will workout 3x/week and track all of their weights so progress and completion can be monitored. The program will include a comprehensive arm care program as well as incorporate baseball specific mobility and flexibility routines for every athlete based on their primary position. Pitchers and positions players will be separated into different groups and have different programs based on the specific demands of their position. Two-way players will be given programs designed specifically for them and the volume they will encounter during the season.
The program will be designed and implemented by Jesse Clingman, MS, C.S.C.S. Jesse has been working in baseball player development for over 8 years and has been providing advanced level weight room training to baseball players for 3+ years. Previously, he was the head strength coach for the College of Southern Nevada Baseball team and he is currently training several professional baseball players. All weight programs will be delivered via app that will include instructional videos with key cues and tips for all exercises. All programs are based on scientific foundations and will work to enhance performance, reduce risk of injury, and optimize recovery so that every player can reach their full potential and take their game to the highest level.
Jesse, born and raised in Utah, has been a strength coach for over 3 years and has been working in health and human performance for over 8 years. He received his Master’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in May of 2023 and his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Utah Tech (formerly Dixie State) in 2020. During his career as a strength coach he has worked with a variety of populations from general wellness clients all the way to professional athletes and he loves to use his expertise in biomechanics to individualize every program and maximize outcomes. Outside of coaching, he enjoys watching sports, hiking with his wife and dog, playing golf, and cooking.
